Calliari has coached at every collegiate level, after playing college baseball at DII Lock Haven University. He starting his coaching career in 1996 as an assistant at DI Penn State University Penn State went on to win it's first and only BIG Ten Championship that year. Calliari then moved to Cleveland, Ohio to work at the Northern Ohio baseball club where he became an instructor at the Baseball School in Strongsville,Ohio. Coach Calliari spent the 1998 season at DIII Greensboro College in Greensboro, NC where his responsibilities included recruiting, infielders, hitting, and first base coach. Greensboro won it's first and only Dixie Conference Championship and was awarded an NCAA South Regional birth in his only year at Greensboro College.
Keystone Academy Summer Baseball:
6 consecutive AAABA/NABF league championships, 5 World Series appearances, 2 Eastern Regional Titles and finished as Runner-Up at the 2001 NABF World Series in Dayton, Ohio. Keystone 6 year record was a combined 157-59. In his long coaching career he has been fortunate to coach many players who were drafted by Major League Baseball. That list includes Nate Bump (Florida Marlins) at Penn State University and Joe Beimel (Pirates) for Keystone. In Addition, he coached a 16U team from PA that participated in the Junior Olympic National tournament where his team placed 8th out of 80 teams.
BWP Bats amateur travel team:
His team had a record of 125-48-1 while also winning the prestigious Buckeye Classic in Columbus,Ohio (60 teams) and placed 6th at the USA Baseball Nationals in Richmond, VA.
He has been a camp instructor at Penn State University, Greensboro, Clarion, IUP, Lock Haven, and Western Michigan.
Penn State Dubois:
Calliari's overall record is 235-101 overall, and a 128-20 conference record. Along with many of his athletes being named to All-American, Academic All-American, All- Conference and even the 2021,2022,&2023 USCAA National Student Athletes of the Year.
Also, 50 players have been named to the PSUAC Academic All-Conference, 21 players named PSUAC All-Conference and 28 have been named USCAA All Americans.
